Zhushan Park’s Birdsong and Floral Fairy Trail & Chiayi’s Most Thrilling Skywalk Now Open

To create a new tourist belt at the foot of Alishan, Chiayi County Government has been actively seeking central government funding in recent years to promote the “Highway 3 Pearl Project.” Among its achievements, Zhushan Park has now completed the “Fairy Flower Trail” and the “Skywalk,” with an inauguration ceremony held on July 8. The public is invited to experience this brand-new, vibrant, and thrilling Zhushan Park.

The skywalk stretches 185 meters, connecting the forest area and the Bamboo Expo Park. Suspended up to 19 meters (about five stories) above the ground, it satisfies the curiosity and thrill-seeking of adventurous visitors. Walking along it, you weave through the treetops and can closely hear the sounds of insects and birds, making it the perfect outdoor ecological classroom..

In addition, the 400-meter-long barrier-free Fairy Flower Trail is lined with wild ginger flowers and azaleas. During July and August, the white blossoms of wild ginger flowers bloom competitively, resembling fluttering butterflies, while their fragrance wafts through the air, creating a refreshing and delightful atmosphere.

Officials from the Cultural Affairs Bureau also revealed that there is a prime viewing spot along the trail where you can gaze at Taiping in Meishan Township, directly opposite the Taiping Cloud Ladder, which is set to be completed by the end of next year. Visitors are invited to take a stroll here, combining fitness with the search for this mysterious spot to add an element of fun.

Located beside the Zhushan Bridge on Highway 3, Zhushan Park sits adjacent to the Niuchou River and covers nearly 12 hectares. At the bottom of the park lies the quaint Zhushan Railway Station. Thanks to its convenient transportation and well-planned layout, it is an ideal destination for leisure and relaxation.
