The high-speed bus “Yayoi Kusama’s Fantasy Blossom,” a creative collaboration between ALPICO Transportation and Yayoi Kusama, now runs daily from Shinjuku to Matsumoto, with one round trip per day. A one-way fare is 3,500 yen and a round trip is 6,100 yen. This bus specially uses the number “841,” which is a homophone of Yayoi Kusama’s name in Japanese. Her signature polka-dot design is not only featured on the exterior of the bus, but also covers the seat back covers inside. Passengers riding this bus can also find a personally designed Yayoi Kusama bus postcard in the pocket in front of their seat—an exclusive, non-commercial item not available for sale elsewhere.
