To boost tourism in the Gangshan and Yanchao areas, Kaohsiung is constructing a new sky-viewing corridor called “Gangshan Eye,” which is expected to open as early as October. Once completed, visitors will be able to gaze at the scenery of Beinanwu Mountain, located 60 kilometers away, from the sky corridor, making it a new highlight for Kaohsiung tourism.

The “Gangshan Eye” is located in the hiking trail area of Little Gangshan Mountain and is designed as a sky corridor stretching 88 meters in length and standing approximately 14 stories (about 40 meters) high. With its expansive views, the sky corridor offers vistas of Agongdian Reservoir, the urban areas of Gangshan and Yanchao, and even sights such as Kaohsiung Harbor and the 85 Sky Tower. On clear days, the distant Beinanwu Mountain can also be seen.

Currently, 80% of the Gangshan Eye construction has been completed. After its full completion and opening by the end of the year, visitors will be able to enjoy this new cloud-walking travel experience, which is expected to become another iconic viewing spot in Kaohsiung.
