Motorcyclists, take note: To maintain traffic quality and deter illegal behavior, the Miaoli County Police Department has set up four checkpoints and speed camera locations along Section 3 of Provincial Highway 3 during summer vacation and holiday weekends. These areas are near residential zones and are prone to accidents. Police will collaborate with vehicle inspection and environmental protection agencies to crack down on speeding and dangerous driving among motorcyclists.

On Section 3 of Provincial Highway 3 in Miaoli—particularly around Zhuolan, Dahu, Shitan, and Sanwan—large groups of heavy motorcycles often gather for rides on weekends and holidays. Some residents have complained to police that the exhaust noise is disturbing and poses safety risks for pedestrians crossing the road.

The Miaoli County Police Department stated that to ensure the peace and quiet of local residents, they are deploying increased police presence in areas along Section 3 of Provincial Highway 3 that are near residential zones and accident-prone spots. Their goal is to prevent all forms of illegal activity and ensure the safety of all road users.

The Miaoli County Police Department also calls on riders of large heavy motorcycles to exercise self-discipline. They encourage the public to report any illegal behavior by riders who disregard traffic rules, providing relevant evidence to help the police identify and take action against those who jeopardize road safety.
