The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that holders of Republic of China passports can enjoy visa on arrival when traveling to Qatar.

RecentlyDOHA NEWSreported that Qatar has introduced visa on arrival benefits for over 30 countries, including the Republic of China (Taiwan). Tonight (27th), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this news—Qatar’s government announced on the 22nd that holders of Republic of China passports are eligible for visa on arrival, allowing them to legally stay in Qatar for up to 30 days. This will make future travel to Qatar more convenient.

Travelers planning to visit Qatar for tourism must meet the following conditions to apply for a visa on arrival:
1. Hold a Republic of China passport with a validity of at least six months
2. Travelers must present round-trip or connecting flight tickets for entry and exit
3. Hotel reservation records
4. Possession of cash or a credit card equivalent to at least USD 1,500

After completing the pre-travel requirements, travelers can apply for a visa on arrival upon arrival at Hamad International Airport in Doha,with an application fee of QR100 (approximately over NT$900),to enter Qatar and stay for 30 days.
