National Highway 3’s Liuying Interchange Opens Today, Significantly Reducing Travel Time

The Liuying Interchange on National Highway 3 opened today (the 19th). Previously, the drive from the Wushantou Interchange on National Highway 3 to the Deyuanpi Dutch Village and the Liuying Science and Technology Industrial Park took 25 minutes, but it will now be reduced to just 5 to 10 minutes. This greatly shortens travel time to the Liuying area and connects Baihe, Dongshan, Liuying, and Liujia into a complete tourist route, promoting the development of the mountainous axis along National Freeway No. 2 in Tainan as well as the tourism corridor in the Liuying area.

The Liuying area is surrounded by beautiful rural scenery. For example, the Deyuanpi Dutch Village features rich pond and wetland ecological environments, while the nearby Baweng Dairy Farming Special Zone is the largest and most important fresh milk production area in Taiwan. Via National Highway 3, visitors can access a variety of attractions including the Guanzikeng Hot Spring Scenic Area in Baihe, Xianshan Farm in Dongshan, Jian Shan Pi Jiangnan Resort in Liuying, Nanyuan Leisure Farm, Chishan Dragon Lake Temple in Liujia, Guantian Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area, the Memorial Park of Yoichi Hatta, and the Tainan National University of the Arts.

The Tourism Bureau recommends the following three packaged tour routes for visitors to the Liuying area, offering more choices to experience the rural landscapes and culinary delights of Tainan. To further promote tourism development around the Liuying Interchange, the Tourism Bureau has also invited local accommodation providers and souvenir shops to join the “Ask Me” store network, providing visitors with more tourism consultation services.
