Mid-strength Typhoon Meranti is about to hit Taiwan. A sea typhoon warning was issued at 5:30 PM on the 21st, and a land warning is expected to be issued in the early hours of the 22nd. Attractions and events across Taiwan have begun announcing suspensions or postponements. Below are the events currently confirmed to be suspended.

Green Island & Orchid Island Ferries: Suspended after 4 PM on the 21st, and will remain suspended on the 22nd and 23rd.

LINA Ferry Taipei–Pingtan service suspended on the 22nd and 23rd.
Taima Ferry Keelung–Matsu service suspended on the 22nd.
Taihua Ferry Kaohsiung–Makung service suspended from the 22nd to the 25th.
Sea Star Ferry Taichung–Pingtan service suspended on the 22nd.

Yilan Children's Fun Festival: Closed for the day on the 22nd.
Yilan International Wellness Festival:Performances on the 22nd and 23rd canceled.
Yilan Fringe Festival:Events from the evening of the 22nd onward suspended, resuming on the afternoon of the 25th.
Yilan Taiping Mountain Forest Recreation Area:Closed on the 22nd.
Yilan National Center for Traditional Arts:To close once the land warning is issued.

Hualien Shoufeng Carp LakeRed Duck FUN Summer: Suspended starting the 22nd.
Hualien Fenglin Environmental Science Park Hualien Soaring Season:Suspended starting the 22nd.

Taitung Hot Air Balloon Festival: The hot air balloon activities on the 22nd and 23rd have been canceled for the entire day.

Matsu Seagull Watching: Flights on the 23rd are suspended.

TransAsia Airways: Before 4 p.m. on the 22nd, international/domestic/cross-strait flights remained operating normally and were not affected by Typhoon Matmo.
