Korean Air has been selected as the “Best Airline” in the 2017 Global Customer Satisfaction Index (GCSI), marking the 13th consecutive year it has received this prestigious honor. The GCSI is an index developed by the multicultural consulting group JMAC to evaluate levels of customer satisfaction. Each year, the group compiles and analyzes factors influencing customer satisfaction, customer value, and global competitiveness, using these criteria to select the top companies of the year.

Korean Air has consistently been committed to introducing eco-friendly aircraft, providing high-quality flight services, and developing new routes, earning widespread recognition within the industry. Recently, Korean Air introduced Korea’s first next-generation passenger aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 “Dreamliner,” an environmentally friendly plane made with over 50% carbon fiber composite materials. The Boeing 787-9 features windows that are approximately 8% larger than those on conventional aircraft, along with significantly higher cabin pressure and humidity levels, offering passengers a more comfortable flying experience.

In recent years, Korean Air has vigorously expanded its route network to enhance its global competitiveness. Last year, Korean Air launched new routes connecting Incheon, South Korea, with Guiyang in China, Okinawa in Japan, and Delhi in India. This year, it added regular flight services to Barcelona, another major city in Spain. Additionally, Korean Air will continue to strengthen cooperation with other international airlines to provide passengers with an even broader and more convenient range of flight options.

A spokesperson for Korean Air stated: “As a leading global airline, Korean Air will continue to prioritize creating value and meeting customer needs. We are committed to continuously improving our services and implementing appropriate enhancements to achieve better and more sustainable development.”
