Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Pingbei Line Begins Service on August 1st – Explore Linluo and Liudui Cultural Park

Capitalizing on the peak summer travel season, Pingtung County Government has launched the second Taiwan Tourist Shuttle bus route – the Pingbei Line. This initiative promotes energy conservation, low-carbon travel, and easy access to Pingtung’s popular attractions, under the slogan “Fun & Relaxing: Discover Pingtung.” By purchasing a travel package, not only can visitors save money and seamlessly visit spots such as Dapeng Bay, Kenting, the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park, and the Taiwan Indigenous Peoples Cultural Park, but they can also enter a lucky draw.

Pingtung County Magistrate Tsao Chi-hung stated that Pingtung has made significant progress in promoting low-carbon tourism. To further advance this initiative, the county government secured subsidies from the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to establish the “Pingbei Line,” the second Taiwan Tourist Shuttle route in the county following the “Kenting Express.” The new line began service on August 1st. The Pingbei Line departs from Pingtung Railway Station, passing through Linluo Sports Park, Liudui Cultural Park, and Pingtung University of Science and Technology, with its final stop at the Indigenous Peoples Cultural Park. During the initial operating period, there will be 6 round-trip services on weekdays and 10 round-trips daily on weekends and school holidays. The one-way fare from Pingtung Railway Station to the Indigenous Peoples Cultural Park is NT$79 for adults and NT$40 for children. The public is encouraged to make use of this convenient service.

In conjunction with the launch of the second Taiwan Tourist Shuttle route, Pingtung County Government has also introduced the “Fun & Relaxing: Discover Pingtung” promotional campaign. Through discounted travel information, media marketing, and other activities, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the route and encourage more travelers to use it. Starting now, the public can purchase Kenting Express packages at 7-ELEVEN ibon convenience service stations nationwide or at Counter No. 2 at the Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station, or buy Pingbei Line packages at Pingtung Bus Terminal. Each package includes a survey form. By filling out the form and dropping it in the onboard ballot box, participants can enter a lucky draw for attractive prizes, including an iPad mini (valued at NT$13,500, 2 winners) and Kenting Fuhwa Hotel stay vouchers (10 winners). Everyone is invited to bring friends and family to experience the mountain-and-sea adventure routes of the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – “Kenting Express” and “Pingbei Line.”
