Future guests of the hotel may not notice it, but the foundation of this five-star floating hotel is built on concrete and anchored with cables. It may move within a range of 6 to 10 feet as the waves fluctuate. Located in a northern Norwegian bay, it is one of the best natural spots for aurora viewing. The exterior design is inspired by the image of a snowflake in an icy environment. Construction is expected to begin in 2015, with official operation starting in 2017.
