Vanilla Air Enters Kaohsiung – Direct Flights to Tokyo Available from February Next Year!

Residents in southern Taiwan are in for a treat. On the 7th, Vanilla Air President Ishii Tomoyoshi announced that starting February 2015, the airline will launch a new route between “Kaohsiung and Narita,” while the Hong Kong route will commence in November this year.

Ishii Tomoyoshi stated that after the “Hong Kong–Narita” route begins service in November, it will initially operate three round-trip flights per week, with plans to increase to two round-trip flights per day by March next year. The “Kaohsiung–Narita” route, set to begin in February next year, is scheduled to have daily flights, with specific ticket prices and schedules to be announced in September.

Currently, Kaohsiung International Airport’s Terminal 2 is served by two low-cost carriers, Air Busan and Peach Aviation. With Vanilla Air officially joining the lineup, travelers in southern Taiwan will have even more options when flying to Japan.
