Following Kyoto, a udon-themed “Udon Museum” will open this autumn in Osaka’s Amerikamura district. Visitors can sample dozens of recommended udon varieties from across Japan all in one place, as well as try their hand at making udon noodles themselves. The museum is expected to open by the end of October.

According to Japanese media reports, the future site will feature a food court-style setup, showcasing delicious udon noodles carefully selected from various regions of Japan. Mini bowl sizes will be offered so that visitors can share and compare different types while eating, without worrying about getting too full too quickly. Additionally, the Osaka Udon Museum will include a theme park area with hands-on udon-making experiences and udon certification activities, allowing visitors to both eat and have fun.

The future location of the “Osaka Udon Museum” is set in the Amerikamura area near Shinsaibashi, with operating hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Travelers planning a trip to Tokyo need not worry—the “Tokyo Udon Museum” is scheduled to open by the end of December or early January next year.
