Taiwan’s unique night market culture and street food are must-visit attractions for international tourists. Su Yongzhi, director of the Taipei Shilin Tourism Development Association, stated on the 16th that to promote Shilin snacks, efforts are actively underway to expand into the northeastern market of mainland China, with plans to officially enter Changchun by the end of the year.

At the 13th Changchun International Agricultural Expo, the exhibition booth for Shilin Night Market snacks attracted considerable attention from the public, featuring over 40 specialty snacks never before seen in Changchun, including oyster omelets, potted ice cream, Alishan earthen oven chicken, and satay squid, drawing large crowds.

Su Yongzhi mentioned that the goal is to find partners in Changchun through this exhibition to establish Shilin snacks there as soon as possible. Currently, Taipei Shilin snacks have already entered Shenyang and Shanghai. If negotiations proceed smoothly, by the end of this year, Changchun will become the third mainland city to host Shilin snacks. (News source: Central News Agency)
