About a 10-minute drive from Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport lies a romantic garden paradise for plane spotting. Stepping into the Koh Lanta Suvarnbhumi Restaurant feels like entering another world, with its dazzling golden architecture and expansive lake views that take your breath away. The restaurant owner is not only wealthy but also appears to have a special fondness for horses, as evidenced by the over a hundred flying horse statues on display.

Koh Lanta Suvarnbhumi is a well-known local seafood restaurant with stunning views, great ambiance, and live band and traditional dance performances, making it perfect for a romantic date. From the moment you step through the entrance, it’s impossible to take your eyes off the restaurant. The golden statues may seem randomly placed yet are thoughtfully arranged in every corner, with horse head sculptures of all sizes leading visitors into a fantastical world.

The restaurant owner has put up a “confession notice.” He is of Thai-Chinese heritage, and his parents ran a successful rubber plantation business. They built this flying horse kingdom on this very land. It’s said he has a deep love for collecting crafts and wood carvings, and the restaurant is practically a small museum where every piece is a treasure. In addition, visitors can sit by the lake to watch koi swim and swans play, while also enjoying a close-up view of airplanes taking off and landing and admiring the sunset. This outrageously cool restaurant is a great choice for a hearty meal before or after a flight when visiting Thailand.
