Taichung Italian Restaurant: Pizza Factory
There are many unique restaurants and delicacies around Calligraphy Greenway, and this "Pizza Factory" is an Italian restaurant highly recommended among friends. Thanks to the "2017 Hellmann's Delicious Salad Tour," I got to pay it a visit… Later I found out that the "Pizza Factory" not only has a great environment but also features distinctive décor, with a sandbox at the entrance – making it a family-friendly restaurant suitable for all ages…

The Calligraphy Greenway branch of the "Pizza Factory" is located on the B1 floor of Calligraphy Greenway Plaza. This area actually has a very nice environment – during the day you’ll see lots of people strolling around, and in the evening there are live band performances in the open air… I also really liked the colorful entrance – it looks very lively and energetic, so I couldn’t help but take a few extra photos…

Inside, the décor is mainly industrial-style, the space is large, and the tables are well spaced…

In addition to the main dining area in the center, there are also several semi-private spaces designed to look like a honeycomb from a visual perspective – they’re quite cute… So we were like little bees nestled up in our hive eating up!

This must be the private room area, separated by transparent glass – perfect for group dinners, and also great for families like ours who are out with kids and mom-friends for a meal…

According to the owner, every branch of the "Pizza Factory" has a different interior design style. Personally, I quite like the Calligraphy Greenway branch, especially its pop-art color scheme which really lifts my mood…

The "Pizza Factory" uses imported Italian Barilla pasta – the top brand in the pasta world!

What’s particularly special is that outside the "Pizza Factory" there’s also a small sandbox, perfect for parents to bring their little ones to dine… Leaving the kids here will definitely wear them out, and I found myself wishing I could bring Little Cherry here to play… Apparently there’s even a nursing room inside, though unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of it – I only learned about it when reading online while writing this article…

Menu...

Big Four Happiness - $499, I’ve never seen a pizza this… this… this BIG!!!!!!

Just use a pretty girl’s face as a scale and you’ll see just how huge it is!! How many people is this supposed to feed? The boss said it’s usually for 4–6 people, but I’m pretty sure even 8 couldn’t finish it!! XD

The size is 25x60cm, and you can choose any four flavors… On the day we had: Classic Margherita, Korean Kimchi Pork, Sunny Samba Hawaii, and Japanese-style Teriyaki Squid… I only tried the Classic Margherita because I like to savor the pure flavor of the crust without too many toppings stealing the show… The crust was chewy and the more you bit into it, the more the aroma of the dough came through – it’s made using the Neapolitan method, and I thought it was pretty tasty…

Taliban Fried Seafood Salad - $190, with a base of greens, topped with shrimp, squid rings, fried white shrimp, and fried tilapia. Although it’s fried, the coating is crispy and it’s not too greasy… Paired with a tartar sauce made with Hellmann's mayonnaise, pickled cucumbers, lemon juice, and a touch of dried plum for flavor, it really highlights the sweet taste of the seafood…
And the portion is quite generous – even as a main meal, it’s very filling… I especially liked the fried squid – the texture is soft yet crispy, and the aroma is fantastic. I truly think it’s delicious!

Meiji Sukiyaki Beef - $280, this dish had Sister Yiping exclaiming right after her first bite, “The beef is so tender and delicious…” then urging me to try it quickly…
The beef is probably pre-marinated, and using sukiyaki sauce is a method I don’t usually come across – the taste really is flavorful and delicious… The noodles have a good chew and some firmness to the core, and the sauce is relatively light – all in all, it’s a very pleasant combination…

Aurora Seafood Medley - $220, I liked the sauce for this dish even more – it’s based on a white sauce with chili oil added… But the flavor is quite magical, with hints of Sichuan peppercorn aroma and some indescribable spices – in short, it’s delicious… The sauce is rich and really seeps into the noodles, making it both tasty and smooth – we all loved this one…

Sweetheart Peanut Chocolate Dumpling - $220, this big dumpling-shaped pizza is quite the eye-catcher, right? But it’s actually a sweet-flavored pizza!
Once you cut into it with a knife, you’ll find a filling of peanut powder and chocolate sauce inside. The peanut powder has a bit of texture, and the ratio of chocolate sauce is just right, so it doesn’t taste overly sweet… The crust is on the crispier side, with a feel similar to a thin pancake – I think girls and kids would really enjoy this kind of combo…

The New Waves Push the Old - $180 NTD, you can choose to pair it with sparkling wine or sparkling water, we opted for the sparkling wine...
But what really left a deep impression was the name of this drink. It turns out the owner has some really clever ideas — once you see it, you won’t forget it easily, haha XD This drink is actually lemon-flavored sparkling wine + Calpis + blue curaçao, tastes sweet, and is super refreshing and cool in the summer...
● ETNEWS News Cloud reminds you: Don’t drink and drive. Don’t drive after drinking.

Double Trouble - $180 NTD, this one is mango + blue curaçao, and the colors look even more layered... Because of the mango, it has a more fruity aroma, and it’s also cool and thirst-quenching...

That day, I checked in on my personal Facebook, and a friend commented that this “Pizza Factory” is delicious and great value for money. I personally think it’s much better than I expected... Especially the atmosphere, I really liked it — spacious and comfortable, and they even have a nursing room and a sandbox. Too much for moms like us to resist, right?
