Peanuts Celebrates 65 Years: 8-Meter-Tall Snoopy Appears in Shanghai

Shanghai Pudong IFC Mall celebrated the 65th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip with an exhibition featuring Snoopy and the Peanuts gang. The event included an 8-meter-tall giant Snoopy balloon, over 2,000 Snoopy plush toys, and many uniquely designed Snoopy characters. The exhibition ran for two months starting in September.

According to mainland media reports, the exhibition kicked off with an 8-meter-tall giant Snoopy balloon, along with 25 Snoopy characters representing classic looks from the 1950s to the 1990s. Additionally, 3D Snoopy art sculptures creatively designed by 12 top international designers will make a dazzling debut. Snoopy’s owner, Charlie Brown, and other members of the Peanuts gang will shine alongside 2,000 adorable Snoopy plush toys.

In mid-to-late September, there will also be 35 pairs of rare “Snoopy and Belle in Fashion” plush toys, featuring Snoopy and his sister Belle dressed in iconic designer outfits. Celebrity-designed superstar versions of Snoopy sculptures, created by famous stars such as Aaron Kwok, Coco Lee, and Karen Mok, will also be on display.
