The New Moon Bridge Bicycle Rental Station Officially Opens with Limited-Time Free Rental Service

The New Moon Bridge is a distinctive scenic bridge spanning the Dahan River, connecting Banqiao and Xinzhuang. On either side of the bridge lie the culturally artistic Banqiao 435 Art & Culture District and the 300-year-old historic charm of Xinzhuang Old Street. It also links to the Dahan River bicycle path, making it a newly popular attraction.

To serve more residents, the former Xisheng Bicycle Rental Station in New Taipei City has been relocated today (September 4) to the Xinzhuang end side of the New Moon Bridge, changing from a holiday-only station to one operating on weekdays. Additionally, to thank residents of New Taipei City, free bike rentals with pick-up and return at the Xinyue Station are available on September 4 and 5. Moreover, in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration event "New Moon Celebrates Mid-Autumn" held on September 4, the station will remain open until 8 p.m. that day.

The New Taipei City Water Resources Bureau stated that starting from this bicycle rental station, cyclists can ride around the Banqiao and Xinzhuang areas and, after an evening ride, enjoy the dazzling and ever-changing light shows on the New Moon Bridge as well as the waterway reflections of the riverside night scenery — making it a great spot to relax by bike after work.
