1. The Largest Sand Sculpture Creation in Hong Kong
This summer, Hong Kong Ocean Park has specially invited world-renowned master sculptor Ray Villafane to create three giant sand sculptures in Yi Hing Square exclusively for the park. Two of the main sculptures stand approximately 6 meters tall, themed around Ocean Park’s marine and land animals as well as its 40th anniversary. These lifelike creations also feature dedicated photo zones, allowing visitors to get up close for photos.

The third sculpture remains in a semi-finished state. Hong Kong Ocean Park explained that to let visitors understand the sand sculpting process, the sand sculpture team will appear at the event site at unscheduled times during the Summer Splash to continue carving. By the final day of the event, visitors can admire the fully completed third sculpture. There is also a sandbox area where children can unleash their creativity and play freely with sand.

2. Cooling Water Play Facilities
In addition to the sand sculptures, the most summery attraction is naturally the water play facilities. Also located in Yi Hing Square, there are three water rides available for visitors to enjoy from now until August 27. The most thrilling ride is the “Super Splash,” where a bucket fills with water and then tips down forcefully from a two-story platform like a waterfall, giving riders an exhilarating rinse — a favorite among both adults and children.

Other water attractions include “Bubble Mania,” where kids can wear goggles and step into a bubble pool, enjoying the surprise of bubbles cascading down from above. Then there’s the “Kids’ Water Tunnel,” where children can happily run through water sprays for a splash-tastic party.

3. 6,500 Yellow Rubber Ducks
To evoke happy childhood bath time memories, Hong Kong Ocean Park has partnered with classic toy brand LT Duck to fill a pool in the Whiskers Harbour area with 6,500 adorable yellow ducks. These cute ducks float and spin in the pool, offering a therapeutic experience. The park also offers a “LT Duck DIY” activity, where visitors can fill out a form and take home a personalized yellow duck with their own message printed on it (additional charge applies).
