A relaxing and luxurious cruise is a top choice for many travelers going on holiday abroad. Dream Cruises has announced that its ship, the Genting Dream, will depart from Singapore as its homeport starting November 16 this year, launching brand-new routes and travel experiences. To give guests a deeper exploration of Singapore, the cruise line has created a Sea & Land Double Stars package, allowing passengers to not only enjoy the lavish onboard facilities but also spend an extra two days exploring the wonders of Singapore on land.

Since 1993, Dream Cruises Group has had Singapore as its homeport, nurturing the local market for 24 years. This time, with Singapore as its homeport again, it will introduce three new routes: a budget-friendly 4-night “midweek break” voyage; and an 8-day, 7-night journey roaming Southeast Asia. Wu Mingfa, Senior Vice President of Dream Cruises’ Sales Department, mentioned: “The Genting Dream is built to high specifications, capable of carrying 4,000 passengers. Not only does it feature a full array of onboard entertainment facilities, but it also boasts impressive speed that significantly shortens voyage durations, taking you across Southeast Asia in the shortest possible time.” The itinerary includes stops at Phuket in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia, as well as Surabaya and other historic Indonesian cities.

With Singapore as its homeport, the cruise also collaborates with the Singapore Tourism Board to offer the “Sea & Land Double Stars” package, giving travelers two nights on land to fully experience the beauty of the Garden City. Upon disembarking, curated tours are arranged to explore the city’s hidden corners, with three different sightseeing routes for guests to choose based on their preferences. Shoppers and foodies can join the “New Discoveries in Singapore” tour to hunt for treasures at the hidden Bugis Street Flea Market; those interested in traditional culture can opt for the “Katong Peranakan Culture Journey” to immerse themselves in local heritage; and fans of old street vibes can follow the “Taste of Tiong Bahru” route to explore one of Singapore’s oldest residential districts from the 20th century.
