Support Penghu — Please come for sightseeing. “Travel vouchers” to be issued in October

The TransAsia Airways plane crash severely impacted Penghu’s tourism industry during what should have been the peak summer season. In order to reignite travelers’ interest and enthusiasm for visiting Penghu, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the Penghu County Government, and TransAsia Airways have jointly launched the issuance of “consumption vouchers” starting October 1. Travelers staying in Penghu for two nights or more over a three-day period can receive a NT$500 discount voucher upon presenting their accommodation voucher.
The Tourism Bureau will announce this promotion in the near future. It is expected that 15,000 vouchers will be issued, or until they run out. This offer does not apply to residents of Penghu or those under the age of 12.
