Beloved by both kids and adults, Xitou Monster Village is a great summer getaway. During July and August, it’s hosting the "Mountain Monster Culture Festival" series, featuring a lineup of fun activities and exciting performances that let families enjoy their summer vacation with monsters in the forest. Additionally, the chocolate magic workshop "w?o" in Xitou Monster Village has officially opened Up！

Located within the Xitou Monster Village park in Nantou, the area boasts rich forest ecology and natural surroundings. Its short wooden buildings are full of Japanese-style charm, and with an average annual temperature of about 19 degrees Celsius, it’s cool and comfortable—perfect for a summer mountain retreat. Starting in July, there will be a series of street performances and drum group shows, plus weekend cultural and creative markets to explore. The newly opened w?o Chocolate Magic Workshop sells all kinds of quirky chocolate products, such as organ chocolates and eyeball chocolates—perfect for adventurous foodies.

Summer is when the monsters come out in full force. Starting on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, there will be a lively 7-day festival. From August 22 to 28 in the Gregorian calendar, the official event will invite cosplay groups to appear, with various anime monster characters meeting visitors in the park. There will also be an exciting Monster Parade in the evenings.
