A must-try on a remote-controlled day: Taichung’s popular brown sugar boba fresh milk with a rich aroma

Who says you can’t enjoy an ice-cold “brown sugar boba fresh milk” when it’s freezing cold? XDXD The colder it is, the more you crave it—kind of like wanting ice cream in winter~ But honestly, that day we were heading back from Harbor Sports Park to the city, and we had no idea how chilly it was in East Taichung @@ I stood in the crowd, battling the biting wind, but powered through with sheer willpower (aka hunger) to line up for this somewhat famous “Little Happiness Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk”! Luckily, Watsons was nearby, so as a good person, I told my friend to wait for me at Watsons first. Hen Man that I am, I handled the line solo ~~~~~ (waves)

This “Little Happiness Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk” spot was recommended by “Orange Dog Loves Sweets,” so I thought, since we were already going to Harbor Sports Park that day, we might as well swing by East Taichung, which we hadn’t visited in ages, to try it out on the way back. Right away, we saw a bunch of university students lining up—I was probably the only one underdressed = = The Little Happiness stand is super tiny, so small that if there weren’t people queuing, I’d probably walk right past it... But seeing the crowd was a good sign. Even though there was a line, service was fast and orderly, and soon enough, it was our turn.

Ding ding ding~ Time to finally try this somewhat famous “Little Happiness Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk” ~~~~~ We got the medium size for NT$45 (large is NT$55), and the menu clearly states no added sugar (unsweetened)!! Plus, “Little Happiness” uses red-packaged professional-grade fresh milk—this brand already gives me extra points XD After coming back from Tainan, we’ve tried several brown sugar boba fresh milks in Taichung, but this one was the most impressive so far!!! To be honest, it doesn’t look like much at all, and it has a bit of a night market vibe, but the brown sugar aroma is hands down the best we’ve had so far ~~~~

The steaming hot brown sugar boba in hand felt like it had just been freshly made. Be sure to shake it well before drinking to get the perfect flavor balance ~~~~~ Although I personally think the boba here is slightly smaller than usual, the rich brown sugar aroma has a uniquely captivating charm. After the first sip, both of us exchanged glances—wow, this brown sugar is really something special. I have a feeling there might be some secret recipe involved XD The chewy boba pearls are delightfully bouncy, while the coating of brown sugar adds the most intriguing layer of flavor.
