Typhoon Fung-wong Approaches: Overview of Taiwan’s Land, Sea, and Air Transport Changes on the 21st

Typhoon Fung-wong is intensifying and has disrupted land, sea, and air transport across Taiwan. Multiple airlines have successively announced full-day flight cancellations for the 21st. Taiwan Railways and Taiwan High Speed Rail have also initiated emergency measures. Below is a summary of today's transportation changes for readers.

[Land Transport]

High-Speed Rail:
Before 2:00 PM, Taipei Station (southbound) and Zuoying Station (northbound) will each operate three all-stops local trains with all seats available (business class excluded) per hour, departing at :00, :20, and :40 past the hour. Normal service resumes after 2:00 PM, following the regular timetable.

Taiwan Railways:
1. South-Link Line, Taitung Line: All trains suspended before 6:00 PM.
2. Western Trunk Line (Keelung to Pingtung), Yilan Line, North-Link Line: Suspended in the morning, resume normal operation after 12:00 PM.
3. Except for the South-Link Line, local trains will operate flexibly depending on weather conditions.
4. Alishan Forest Railway suspended for two days on the 21st and 22nd.

Changhua YouBike, Taichung iBike:Suspended for one day on the 21st

[Sea Transport]

New Taipei City Blue Highway:Suspended for one day on the 21st

Orchid Island, Green Island, Houpihu,Fugang Flights: Suspended for one day on the 21st

Taiwan Ferry:Kaohsiung–Makung suspended on the 21st; Kaohsiung–Makung flight at 8:30 AM on the 22nd and Makung–Kaohsiung flight at 4:00 PM on the 23rd also suspended

[Airlines]

Uni Air:Domestic flights suspended on the 21st

Mandarin Airlines:Domestic flights suspended on the 21st

TransAsia Airways:Domestic flights suspended on the 21st; international flights operate normally. Cross-strait routes except for round-trips between Taoyuan–Kinmen (GE9022) and Kinmen–Taoyuan (GE9021) are cancelled; all others operate as scheduled.

Far Eastern Air Transport:The "Penghu - Kinmen" route is suspended all day on the 21st.

China Southern Airlines announces:All flights from Taoyuan are canceled on the 21st.

Air China:All flights on the 21st are canceled.

Jetstar Airways:Flights 3K721, 3K722, 3K723, 3K724 operating between "Singapore-Taiwan-Osaka" are canceled on the 21st.

Xiamen Airlines:Flights MF888 ("Taipei-Taiwan Taoyuan - Xiamen"), MF890 ("Taipei-Taiwan Taoyuan - Changsha"), MF880 ("Taipei-Taiwan Taoyuan - Fuzhou"), and MF860 ("Taipei-Taiwan Taoyuan - Quanzhou") are canceled.
