Northern, New Taipei, and Keelung suspend work and classes tonight  YouBike services to halt from 6 PM

Last updated 2026-09-25 — Following the earlier announcement by Northern, New Taipei, and Keelung that work and classes are suspended tonight (21st), the Taipei City public bicycle rental system YouBike also posted on its official website that, in the interest of public safety, all rental stations and service centers will cease operations from 6 PM tonight. No bike rentals will be available, but users can still return bikes. Services will resume depending on weather conditions.

Following the earlier announcement by Northern, New Taipei, and Keelung that work and classes are suspended tonight (21st), the Taipei City public bicycle rental system YouBike also announced around 4:30 PM on its Facebook fan page that, for public safety, all rental stations and service centers will stop operations from 6 PM tonight. No bike rentals will be provided, but returning bikes will still be possible. Users are being notified via SMS accordingly. Services will be resumed based on weather conditions.
