Taipei Da’an Mini Takeaway Bar: Scones & Hand-Brewed Black Coffee to Go

The quietly stylish Scone&Coffee Mini Takeaway Bar is a collaboration between the two brands Quietly Delicious and Black Eye Circle, focusing on selling monthly rotating flavors of scones and hand-brewed coffee drinks. This bright and clean little shop is nestled in Taipei’s Da’an District.

The scones at the takeaway bar are baked at Quietly Delicious on Ren’ai Road and then delivered to the Anhe Road location of Quietly Black Eye Circle. The hand-brewed coffee is made using an OTFES smart automatic coffee machine that mimics the pour-over technique of a barista.

The quietly stylish Scone&Coffee Mini Takeaway Bar is located on Anhe Road in Taipei, just a 3-minute walk from Eslite Bookstore in Dunhua. Currently in soft opening, it offers five flavors of scones in July (original, honey milk, chocolate, pearl sugar, and cranberry). During the soft opening period, only light and medium-dark roast black coffee are available. Cold brew tea and sparkling juice coffee drinks listed on the menu will be available after the official opening on July 19.

The exterior is slightly crisp, the inside is pleasantly soft, and it’s topped with fresh cream. The overall taste is mildly sweet with a buttery aroma—pairs quite well with black coffee. The flavors rotate monthly, but it’s said the signature original and honey milk flavors will always be available.

%Light Roast Black Coffee $50

The hand-brewed coffee here is made using an OTFES smart automatic pour-over coffee machine. Whether you like this method really depends on personal preference. As for the light roast black coffee I tried this time, Quietly Black Eye Circle uses beans from Taipei’s Le Palais Timothée, resulting in a smooth cup with distinct fruity acidity.
