Recently, an air disaster significantly impacted Penghu’s peak tourist season during the summer vacation. To revive the local tourism market, the Penghu County Government and the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications have introduced consumption vouchers and subsidies for packaged tour packages. Local lodging operators and enterprises have also responded to the government’s initiative by launching a three-month public welfare campaign titled “Rediscovering the Beauty of the Daisy Island & Sharing Love,” providing free support for orphanages and primary school students in Penghu to participate in a sketching tour on the beautiful Daisy Island, and offering free housing for disadvantaged groups.

A spokesperson for the enterprise stated that on October 4, children from Mu Xiang Orphanage and local Zhongshan Elementary School and Chenggong Elementary School in Penghu participated in the opening ceremony’s sketching charity competition. They also visited local sites in Penghu, allowing the children to personally experience the beauty of Daisy Island and stay at the Leisure Cloud Fairy Tale Theme House in Penghu for free, enjoying the fun of being in a dreamlike setting.

The Leisure Cloud Fairy Tale Theme House in Penghu, starting October 1 in line with the implementation of consumption vouchers, offers free housing for disadvantaged groups and special rates starting from 200 TWD for students, continuing until December 31 for a total of three months. The enterprise will also host a New Year’s Eve fireworks charity gala in Penghu at year-end, continuing its support for charitable causes and inviting local residents to celebrate together.
