If you want to take in the sights of Lalu Island, Cien Tower, and Shuishe Dam all at once during your visit to Sun Moon Lake, the upcoming “Xiangshan Bicycle Path Viewing Platform” at Xiangshan Visitor Center, set to open next month, will fulfill every visitor’s wish. Not only can you admire the stunning scenery of Sun Moon Lake up close, but the specially designed viewing platform also gently rocks up and down, adding an extra layer of fun to your sightseeing experience.

According to a report by the Liberty Times, the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration has constructed an 820-meter-long new eco-trail next to the Xiangshan Visitor Center to accommodate the growing number of visitors, aiming to effectively divert foot traffic. The administration stated that this eco-trail also doubles as a bike path, allowing both walkers and cyclists to fully enjoy the scenic views along the way.

The administration has also specially installed a steel-framed viewing platform on this trail, using unique construction techniques to create a suspended visual effect. From here, visitors can take in a breathtaking 180-degree panorama of Sun Moon Lake, with Lalu Island nearby and Cien Tower and Shuishe Dam in the distance. Additionally, this cantilevered platform is designed to produce a gentle rocking motion, allowing visitors to experience a slight swaying sensation while admiring the scenery of Sun Moon Lake.

The “Xiangshan Bicycle Path” will officially open on November 9. At that time, travelers will be able to rediscover the beauty of Sun Moon Lake from a whole new perspective.
