Trial stay at Tainan’s “Pipe Hotel” concludes — next booking not until next year

The Pipe Hotel at the Yueshijie Ecological Park in Zuozhen launched a trial experience event on August 3. After two rounds of the experience, a total of 460 people signed up enthusiastically. Both batches were fully booked within 30 minutes of registration opening, showing great appeal. Currently, the “Pipe Hotel” is undergoing improvements to its environment and facilities ahead of its official launch. The Tainan Tourism Bureau stated that visitors wishing to stay at the Pipe Hotel will need to wait until it officially opens, with the date expected to be sometime next year — the exact timing has yet to be confirmed.

The purpose of the Pipe Hotel trial experience was to allow the public to experience a new form of camping, while also boosting local tourism through distinctive experiences and using feedback to inform future policy and development. During the Pipe Hotel trial, 230 questionnaires were distributed to gather user satisfaction and opinions. Based on the 189 valid responses collected, as many as 90% of users expressed satisfaction with the Pipe Hotel camping experience, and nearly 80% said they would choose it again and recommend it to friends and family.

This Pipe Hotel camping facility represents a new type of experiential tourism and offers a novel travel model. As the Pipe Hotel trial comes to an end, the Tainan City Tourism Bureau will make improvements to the environment and facilities, and analyze suggestions from relevant authorities regarding regulations, before moving forward with the official launch. Before the Pipe Hotel officially begins operations, the public can still call the Yueshijie Ecological Park in Zuozhen to book other campsite facilities for eco-leisure experiences and to enjoy the beauty of Yueshijie’s sunrise, ecology, and landscapes.
