Penghu has its romantic fireworks festival, Sun Moon Lake hosts a fireworks concert, and the grand lakeside concert attracted over 20,000 attendees. This winter, Chiayi will also hold a spectacular fireworks concert in the Palace Museum South Campus Celebration Garden, bringing visitors together to relive classic golden hits from the past—and admission is completely free.
Chiayi County Government collaborated with the National Palace Museum Southern Branch in February this year to jointly hold a large outdoor concert, featuring Lisa Ono and Japanese vocalist Tamura Asako, which received an enthusiastic response. This year, they have partnered with a telecom company to hold the second lakeside concert, set to take place in December with grand performances.
This fireworks music concert will be themed around “Era Hits,” featuring a large symphony orchestra performing arrangements of popular songs from the last 20 years. It will use music to revisit Taiwan’s historical changes and generational spirit.The setlist includes classic hits such as Soda Green’s “When We Walked Together,” Chang Yu-sheng’s “Days Without Smoking,” and Yang Pei’an’s “I Believe,” among others, all of which are eye-catching. The concert also features pop singers Lee Jia Wei and Zhuo Yi. In addition, the warm-up band will perform heartfelt renditions of classic songs. The lively performance will surely bring joy to all attendees.
