Located in the South Pacific, Tinian Island is just a seven-minute flight from Saipan. With a population of 3,000, the island’s serene and tranquil atmosphere attracts many visitors. Beyond its natural beauty, this largely untouched island is home to the only modern hotel, which features a casino, restaurants, and a roughly 60-pyeong presidential suite that boasts breathtaking, unobstructed ocean views.

“Tinian Dynasty Hotel” is the only hotel on Tinian Island. It opened on April 25, 1998, and most visitors head here as soon as they land, since there are very few dining and sightseeing options on the island. As a result, most guests choose to have all their meals at the hotel. The property houses Chinese, Japanese, Western, and other restaurants, as well as a convenience store, with the Japanese restaurant being particularly classic—offering fresh sashimi dishes from the island.

The building covers an extremely large area and was designed by designer R. ANDREW BROWNELL, themed around the Renaissance period of the 16th century. Both modern and classical palace-style designs can be seen throughout the hotel. Inside the enclosed courtyard formed by the buildings, there’s also a waterslide pool to enjoy, which even features an underwater volleyball court—a favorite leisure spot for many vacationers.

In truth, Tinian Dynasty Hotel may not be considered top-tier luxury in the eyes of Taiwanese travelers, but it is the most resource-rich hotel on the island. Built 16 years ago, some of its facilities show signs of aging, but the rarely experienced “presidential suite” is definitely worth highlighting. Located on the highest floor—the seventh—at about 60 pyeong, the suite can accommodate up to eight people and includes two living rooms, a bar counter, a kitchen, an oven, and a Jacuzzi.

The presidential suite in the hotel doesn’t focus on high-end, meticulous service, but rather provides a large, spacious, and comfortable living space, with relatively simple interiors. What sets it apart from typical presidential suites is that, being on the high floors of the island, you can easily take in sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. When you pull open the row of floor-to-ceiling curtains, the blue hues of the ocean stream into the room through the windows, creating a truly refreshing atmosphere.
