Asian Chefs' Summit to be held in September with 15 renowned chefs from Asia gathering together

Mandarin Oriental Taipei and The Landis Taipei will participate in the "Asian Chefs' Summit" hosted by FIM MEDIA in September, inviting 13 top restaurants and 15 international celebrity chefs to exchange culinary skills. Chef presentations will be held at both hotels from September 19 to 21.

During the event, both Mandarin Oriental Taipei and The Landis Taipei will also host their own dining events. The Landis Taipei will hold four dining events, featuring 2016 Best Female Chef in Asia Margarita Forés from the Philippines, Chef Kirk Westaway from JAAN in Singapore, Chef Jason Tan from Corner House in Singapore, Chef Tim Butler from EAT ME in Bangkok, Chef Thitid Tassanakajohn from Le Du in Bangkok, and Chef Clement Pellerin from Paris 1930. They will collaborate in a four-hands format to present their signature classic dishes. The limited lunch and dinner menus are priced at NT$6,900+10% per person.

Mandarin Oriental Taipei will host three wine-paired dining events in September at Bencotto—on the evening of September 21 and during the afternoon and evening of September 22. The first event features Chef Tim Butler from Bangkok’s Eat Me and Chefs Richie Lin, Long Xiong, and Kai Ward from Taipei MUME; the second event showcases the German twin chefs Thomas Sühring and Mathias Sühring from Sühring in Bangkok alongside Chef Hiroyasu Kawate from Florilège in Tokyo; the third event highlights Chef Hiroyasu Kawate from DEN in Tokyo collaborating with Chef Fatih Tutak from The Dining Room at The House on Sathorn in Bangkok.

The chef lineup for this "Asian Chefs' Summit" includes Chef Hiroyasu Kawate from DEN (Den) in Tokyo and Chef Hiroyasu Kawate from Florilège; Chef Kirk Westaway from JAAN in Singapore and Chef Jason Tan from Corner House in Singapore; the German twin chefs Thomas Sühring and Mathias Sühring from Sühring in Bangkok, Chef Tim Butler from Eat Me, Turkish Chef Fatih Tutak from The Dining Room at The House on Sathorn, and Chef Thitid Tassanakajohn (aka Chef Ton) from Le Du; as well as 2016 Best Female Chef in Asia Margarita Forés.

Also participating are Chefs Richie Lin (Lin Quan), Long Xiong, and Kai Ward from Taipei MUME, as well as Chef Ryohel Hieda from Shiang Yun Long Yin Restaurant.
