Thrill-seekers have a new challenge to conquer. The Shijiu Drum Cultural and Creative Park in Tainan, transformed from a century-old sugar refinery, offers a variety of extreme experiences in an industrial-style setting. Among them, the new facility “Sugar Crystal Drop” officially opened today, allowing visitors to experience a high-speed free fall from the height of seven stories and enjoy the thrill.

The Shijiu Ren Sugar Cultural and Creative Park is a comprehensive cultural and creative complex that combines international drum performances with extreme experiences. Following the chimney slide and hell descent, it has now launched Taiwan’s highest extreme sports facility — the “Sugar Crystal Drop.” Visitors must first walk across a skywalk and a century-old banyan tree, take in views of the Sanye Temple Creek and the Tainan landscape, and then take a leap from a height of 20 meters.

During the summer vacation period, the park is also offering a special discounted price of NT$50 per ride, which will revert to the original price of NT$100 starting September. As for safety, the equipment is manufactured in the UK, with specifications that allow for use at heights of up to 30 meters. Fall protection and rescue devices have all undergone high-standard certification. The facility is even open at night, so those who enjoy a thrill can confidently challenge themselves.
