Tainan’s food scene never ceases to amaze—recently, a wooden food cart popped up on Guohua Street, specializing exclusively in French Bulldog-shaped mochi cakes, and they’re only open for five hours a day！Inspired by the owner’s former pet French Bulldog, these mochi cakes feature super-realistic, adorable Frenchie faces that are sure to melt hearts and are destined to create a craze in Tainan.

Located on Guohua Street in Tainan, the owner handcrafted a wooden food cart to sell these adorable French Bulldog-shaped mochi cakes. With so many cute dog breeds, why the French Bulldog? It turns out the owner once had a Frenchie who passed away, and to honor its memory, he specially commissioned a mold to recreate its lovely face.

Dog Head Mochi may look similar to regular mochi cakes, but they come with fillings. There are four flavors: red bean, sweet potato, custard, and matcha sesame. Each Frenchie cake is priced at NT$40, while the others are NT$35 each. All flavors are made to order, with a maximum of only 10 cakes baked per batch. The daily limit is 200 pieces and they’re sold out by the end of the day—come late and you’ll miss out.
