Exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the filming locations of "My Freedom Era" – A nostalgic bubble tea shop in Yilan

For those who grew up in the '50s and '60s (by Taiwanese reckoning), this kind of bubble tea is definitely not unfamiliar. Back then, there were no cafes or brunch spots—this bubble tea shop was a dear companion during our youth. But nowadays, such shops are few and far between. Not long ago, the TV drama "My Freedom Era" even chose this place as one of its filming locations. When I visited again recently, I noticed that many people came just to spot celebrities.

This show seems pretty popular, but—hee hee—we haven’t actually watched it. We heard it has great reviews though!

Rather than calling it a nostalgia trip, it’s more like the place has barely changed in over a decade. The decor back then was super trendy!

Even though it’s been ages since I last came here, the atmosphere is still really nice.

I remember back in school, I loved hanging out here with classmates and friends—playing cards, gossiping...

The menu hasn’t changed much either, huh?

They also have some magazines to read, which is nice for passing the time. Of course, these days most people are probably here just to scroll on their phones!

Honestly, stepping into this place really feels like time has stood still. No wonder they chose it as a filming location for the drama~

Turnip cake.

To be honest, the food is decent, but coming here is definitely not about the cuisine. The nostalgic vibe is top-notch though. Anyone looking to relive the past must come here~
