Every year, Malaysia holds three nationwide shopping promotional events: the Malaysia GP Shopping Festival in March, the Malaysia Shopping Carnival in July, and the highly anticipated “Malaysia Year-End Sale.” According to Tourism Malaysia, product prices during the sale period can be discounted by 30% to 60% compared to regular prices. This seven-week-long shopping extravaganza attracts tourists from all over the world.
“BBKLCC” refers to the shopping district formed by the linkage of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in Bukit Bintang and the Petronas Twin Towers at KLCC, connected by a pedestrian bridge. The former, Bukit Bintang, is Kuala Lumpur’s most bustling shopping area, home to some of the most distinctive shopping malls in Southeast Asia. These include Lot 10, known for fashion; Sungei Wang, packed with unique Southeast Asian boutiques; Fahrenheit 88, popular with fans of pop culture; and Pavilion, the largest and most comprehensive mall in Kuala Lumpur.
