Taipei has several “sleep-friendly internet cafes” where you can sleep for 9–12 hours for just NT$350–NT$540, including a shower, gaming, reading manga, watching DVDs, and even all-you-can-drink beverages. E-Book Man

E-Book Man is a 10-minute drive from Songshan Airport and is another alternative sleep-friendly internet cafe. Next time you have an early morning flight, consider killing time here. Free drinks at the self-service bar, showers for NT$50, and using a private room for 9 hours allows free access to manga and gaming, all for just NT$450–NT$540. If you don’t need a computer and just want to read, using a private room for 9 hours costs only NT$360–NT$430. It’s slightly more expensive than QTime, but users say E-Book Man is quieter and brighter, with many backpackers and business travelers as regulars.

The Japanese-style internet private room comes with basic computers. When you’re tired of gaming, you can lie down and rest. Those bringing their own laptops can also rent movies for free by leaving an ID. The self-service bar offers a variety of drinks, including sodas, teas, and coffees, plus 24-hour meal service priced from NT$35 to over NT$100. There are also printing, photocopying, and fax services, which is why it’s popular with business travelers—you can kill time, rest, or even do some light work here.

Aside from regular sofa private rooms (mostly used by gamers), if you want to sleep here for the night, try the Japanese-style private rooms. They’re just the right size for lying down. There are single Japanese-style rooms as well as larger ones that can accommodate 2, 4, or 6 people, offering more space and are quite suitable for students or business meetings. However, since this is still an internet cafe environment, noise levels can be hard to control—those sensitive to sound are advised to bring earphones or earplugs to ensure a good night’s sleep.
