The Alishan Forest Railway resumes service to "Jiuzhilu Station"    Train schedules partially adjusted starting September 1!

To accommodate the resumption of operations on the Alishan Forest Railway section between Fenchihu and Jiuzhilu, starting September 1, 2017 (106 year in Taiwan calendar), Train No. 311 Zhongxing (a non-reserved seat train) will have its departure time adjusted and its route extended to Jiuzhilu Station. Additionally, Train No. 3 of the Alishan train, which operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, will also have its schedule changed.

The Alishan Forest Railway suffered severe damage after Typhoon Morakot in 2009, and major sections of its main line have yet to resume service. Recently, after passing reopening inspections, it can finally operate again up to Jiuzhilu Station, with the branch line also extended from Shennmu Station to the First Diversion Line.
