TainanDeyuanpi Dutch Village Windmill FestivalOfficially kicking off on November 1, the festival features a giant maze decorated with windmills, various DIY workshops for participants, weekend performances by famous street artists and bands, and free exquisite gifts (while supplies last) for those who wear orange clothing on the opening day.
Located in Liuying District, Tainan City, Deyuanpi boasts abundant pond and wetland ecological environments, pastoral scenery, coral-like waters, and is one of Taiwan’s major dairy farming regions—features that closely resemble the Netherlands. Drawing inspiration from Dutch landscapes and architecture, the area has introduced pure wind-powered VAGGS windmills from the Netherlands, creating an exotic Dutch-style pastoral landscape park.
The Windmill Festival in November includes Taiwan’s first large-scale windmill-decorated maze, a variety of hands-on DIY activities, weekend performances, challenges, and free fun children's play experiences—all with free admission, allowing both adults and children to enjoy the world of windmills together.
