Princess Cruises Celebrates 50th Anniversary with 2015 Sea Festivities

Princess Cruises recently announced that to celebrate its 50th anniversary, it will launch a series of onboard celebration events in 2015. On November 5, the original cast of "The Love Boat" will gather in Florida, USA, for the naming ceremony of the Regal Princess, kicking off the 50th-anniversary celebration series.

According to Princess Cruises, it will launch a "Love Boat Disco Deck Party" themed around the 1970s, featuring screenings of "The Love Boat" clips, celebrity interviews, sing-alongs of the theme song, and fun trivia games. In addition, themed restaurants will offer classic dishes that have been most memorable over the past 50 years. Master chocolatiers will also create two special 50th-anniversary desserts, available on rotation across different voyages, along with champagne and beer specially designed for the anniversary. Other activities include balloon parties, 50th-anniversary quizzes, and a variety of commemorative merchandise to celebrate the milestone, allowing everyone to join in the festivities for Princess Cruises' 50th anniversary.
