Typhoon Hato is approaching Taiwan, with the Central Weather Bureau predicting that the storm’s eye will make landfall in the early hours of the 22nd. Tomorrow morning will be the most intense period of impact on Taiwan. Various airlines have successively announced flight changes for the 22nd. Passengers are strongly advised to confirm their flight schedules with their respective airlines before heading to the airport and to stay updated on the typhoon’s developments.

Flight Changes for August 22

Mandarin Airlines
Domestic Routes Canceled:
Taipei - Taitung AE391/392, total of 2 flights
Kaohsiung - Magong AE342/341/344/343, total of 4 flights
Kaohsiung - Hualien AE7931/7932, total of 2 flights
All other flights remain normal.

Uni Air
All flights between the main island and Taitung or Hualien before 12:00 noon are canceled.
All flights between Kaohsiung and Kinmen or Magong after 16:00 are canceled.
Tainan - Magong B7-8681/8683 canceled.
Magong - Tainan B7-8680 canceled.
Magong - Songshan B7-9118 (scheduled 19:30) moved up to depart at 17:45.

TransAsia Airways
Domestic Routes: 4 flights moved up to the following departure times
Kaohsiung - Magong: FE085 at 10:00 / FE087 at 12:30
Magong - Kaohsiung: FE086 at 11:15 / FE088 at 13:45
International Routes:
On 8/22, FE189 Kaohsiung - Haikou flight at 17:40 and FE190 Haikou - Kaohsiung flight at 20:45 are postponed by 24 hours to depart on 8/23.
All other flights continue normal operations.

Daily Air
All East and West line flights canceled for the entire day.
