Travelers Rejoice: Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport Adds Early Morning Flights from Taoyuan Airport, Buses Available 24/7

In response to the transportation needs of passengers traveling or returning by air during the early morning hours, Taoyuan Airport has coordinated with Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport to add extra bus services between Taipei Railway Station and Taoyuan International Airport from 1:00 AM to 5:30 AM—times when fewer buses are usually available—starting November 1. Together with the existing services, this ensures that Taoyuan Airport will have bus connections northbound and southbound around the clock.

Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport will add new departures from the airport to Taipei Railway Station at 03:30 and 04:30. Combined with the originally scheduled buses at 00:50, 01:20, and 02:30, there will be at least one bus per hour to Taipei Railway Station throughout the day. In addition, Uni-Air Bus also operates hourly shuttle services from Taoyuan Airport to Zhongli Transfer Station, making it convenient for passengers to travel north or south 24 hours a day.

Currently, between 05:00 and 01:00 the next day, there is an average of one bus every 15 minutes to destinations such as Taipei Railway Station and Xindian. There is also an average of one bus every 30 minutes to Zhongli and Taichung Transfer Stations, facilitating passenger transfers to major cities in central and southern Taiwan.

Lin, a mother living in Taipei, said that some international flights are early morning “red-eye” departures. In the past, she had to rely on taxis or family members to take her to Taoyuan Airport for early check-in. A single taxi ride could cost nearly NT$1,000. With the availability of late-night express buses, she can save a significant amount on transportation expenses.
