The China Airlines “Waterways & Mountain Posts” English Naming Competition invites university students in Taiwan to get creative by devising a catchy and fitting English name for the meaning behind the 777-300ER Premium Business Class Sky Lounge’s “Waterways & Mountain Posts.” Inspired by the Song Dynasty poet Lu You’s line, “I recall setting off on a journey light, over waterways and mountain posts without counting the miles,” the terms “post” and “station” refer to resting places for ancient travelers. China Airlines has created “Waterways & Mountain Posts” as a moment of respite for modern travelers.
Entries for the “Waterways & Mountain Posts” English Naming Competition can be submitted via email online. The submission deadline is 23:59 on November 30, 2014, and the winners will be announced on December 24. The top three winners will receive round-trip tickets in China Airlines’ new 777 aircraft on the Taipei–U.S. route: first prize is Premium Business Class, second prize is Premium Economy Class, and third prize is Economy Class.
