Yunlin Ever-Changing Rural Carnival to Showcase Local Charm on the 15th

As an agricultural hub, Yunlin County will host the “2014 Cultivating Success – Ever-Changing Rural Carnival” this Saturday, the 15th, at the Huwei Agri-Expo Ecological Park. The event invites local communities to come together to showcase their cultural creativity and distinctive township industries. A variety of engaging activities and fun competitions have also been planned. The Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Beigang Blessing Route will make a special stop at the Huwei Agri-Expo Ecological Park that day, allowing visitors to explore Yunlin with ease via the shuttle service.

Yunlin County Magistrate Su Chih-fen stated that the historical and cultural development of each township in Yunlin is closely tied to agriculture, and that the region’s charm truly stems from its humanistic spirit and cultural richness. Currently, Yunlin is home to 426 communities. With active support from the county government and the efforts of residents, many communities have become well-known tourist destinations. Examples include the Dingxi Community in Huwei Township (Roof Cats), the Sanjie Community in Dapi Township (Straw Art), and the Liucuo Community in Beigang Township (Nail Art), all of which have repackaged their traditional industries to create unique local events and products.

To allow the public to fully experience the development and achievements of Yunlin’s communities, the Yunlin County Government has specially invited local communities to gather at the Huwei Agri-Expo Ecological Park this Saturday, the 15th, to present their cultural creativity, industrial features, and community-building results. In addition to a rich program of live activities and entertaining competitions, a variety of DIY experiences will be offered to enhance visitor participation and interaction. To encourage the use of public transportation, the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Beigang Blessing Route” will make a special stop at the Huwei Agri-Expo Ecological Park on the day of the event (11/15).
