Mr. Li, who lives in New Taipei City, had planned to take his wife and two children, a family of four, to Boracay, Philippines on January 30th this year. He entered the lucky draw after purchasing the trip at the travel fair, and to his great excitement, he won the 500,000 NT prize. He said, “Among the Philippine islands, I’ve always longed to visit the famous Boracay. In the future, I also want to travel to Palawan, Cebu, or Bohol.”

Mr. Rey Asis, Director of the Philippine Department of Tourism Taiwan Office, mentioned that Boracay is the most popular travel destination among Taiwanese visitors. Palawan, which was recently named the Best Island in the World in 2014 by travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler, has also been attracting increasing attention from travelers. In 2015, the office will focus on promoting this island to help Taiwanese visitors gain a deeper appreciation of this beautiful and pristine destination.
