The highly anticipated Taipei Children’s Amusement Park was officially announced today (November 20) by Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-pin toopen on December 16.In addition to featuring 13 amusement facilities, the park will also host the If Kids Theater troupe, offering both children and adults a brand-new play experience.

In addition to continuing the themed facilities originally set up by the former Children’s Recreational Center, the new park has added six new attractions, including a roller coaster, Flying Bus, Free Fall, Pirate Ship, Mini Spin Planes, and a Roundabout. The entire area adoptsa “pay for park entry, pay per ride” pricing model,with park admission priced at NT$30, payable via EasyCard. There are alsofree play areas, sand pits, large slides, and other recreational facilities within the park,allowing visitors to plan their playtime based on their own schedule and budget.

The children’s park features a three-story open-air design, with rides mainly located on the first and third floors. The first-floor area includesJungle Roar Treehouse, Flying Magic, Treasure Hunt Boat, Marine Adventure, and Fruit Ferris Wheel.and other facilities.

Among them,the Jungle Roar Treehouseis a child-friendly version of a vertical drop ride,the Flying Magicis a Flying Bus lifted up and down by the arms of Formosan black bears, while theFruit Ferris Wheelis the most iconic large-scale facility in the children’s park. As the wheel slowly ascends, children can take in the surrounding views and enjoy the thrill of being high above.

The Finding Nemois a carousel featuring ocean animals, where kids can ride everything from cool sharks to adorable dolphins—perfect for family fun. For those seeking more thrills, they can also hop on theTreasure Hunt Boat(Pirate Ship) and enjoy wild swinging and screaming.

On the third floor, the park has plannedHappy Bumper Cars,allowing everyone to drive bumper cars and bump into each other for fun; for those who enjoy thrilling spins, there are alsoSpinning Coffee Cups, Little Flying Dragons, Patrol Swings, and Starry Little UFOs—high-speed spinning rides that are both exciting and entertaining.

If you prefer a gentler way to take in the park’s scenery, you can hop on theGalaxy Train,a miniature train that slowly circles the park on elevated tracks; brave kids can ride theMagical Interstellar Roller Coaster,experiencing the thrill of acceleration on a roller coaster full of ups, downs, and sharp turns. The track is even built along the edge of the third floor, so just looking down from the highest point is already a highlight of the ride.

For free facilities, the park has set up a play area and ball pit indoors, where children can climb on wooden play equipment. There are also sand pits, slides, and other amenities suitable for kids of different ages.

In addition to amusement rides, the Children's New Paradise also features a food street, a 7-11 convenience store, and 20 souvenir shops, along with indoor parking for cars and motorcycles.The park also has an EasyCard recharge machine, allowing visitors to simply use their EasyCards for entry, riding attractions, and making purchases at some shops.

Since opening on December 16, the Children's New Paradise has operated from 09:00 to 17:00 every Tuesday to Sunday, based on children’s schedules. Operations are extended until 20:00 on Saturdays and during winter and summer vacations, with Mondays and Lunar New Year’s Eve as regular closure days. General admission is NT$30, concession tickets are NT$15, and group tickets are NT$21. The 13 rides are priced at either NT$20 or NT$30 depending on popularity and ride duration. For safety reasons, all rides have height restrictions.

According to the Children's New Paradise, visitors can take the MRT to Jiantan Station or Shilin Station and then transfer to a shuttle bus to enter the park. Additionally, the park can be combined with nearby attractions such as the Science Education Center, Astronomy Museum, and riverside parks to create an educational and fun family trip.
