Newlywed Photo Spot in Zhuzihhu, Yangmingshan – “Taro Love Path” Offers Distant Views of Little Oil Pit

Taipei City Government carried out stream restoration work on a tributary of Zhuzihhu Stream. Based on soil and water conservation and landslide prevention, along with a focus on recreation and ecology, it launched the new attraction “Taro Love Path.” The path is enveloped by romantic taro flowers, beautiful love blooms, and colorful hydrangeas that shape distinctive features including scenic windows, resting platforms, riverside trails, and meditation shelters—offering couples an excellent setting for wedding photography.

In the middle of the “Taro Love Path” stands an Old Man Under the Moon Tree next to the stream. A resting platform under the tree provides a place for visitors to relax. In the distance, you can gaze at the majestic sight of mist rising from Little Oil Pit. Additionally, the back section of the trail features a scenic window through which you can admire the beauty of terraced fields, both large and small. Depending on the season, you can enjoy taro flowers (March–May), love blooms (April–June), and hydrangeas (May–August). The scenery changes with the seasons, presenting diverse moods—from bursts of red to white romance—painting Zhuzihhu in rich and varied colors.

Wu Ming-sheng, Chief Engineer of the Department of Urban Development, said that the “Taro Love Path” in Zhuzihhu is themed around symbiosis and heritage, introducing the area's industrial development. It connects with the riverside trail along Zhuzihhu Stream and integrates the local natural landscape and taro features.

Transportation Guide:
1. Take bus routes 108, 109, 110, 230, 260, or Red 5 to Yangmingshan, then transfer to bus Xiao 9 to Zhuzihhu.
2. Go to Beitou Station on the Taipei Metro Tamsui Line, then transfer to bus Xiao 9 to Zhuzihhu.
3. Go to Shiba Station on the Taipei Metro Tamsui Line, then transfer to bus Xiao 8 to Zhuzihhu.
4. Take bus route 131 (a loop route from the Second Parking Lot at Yangmingshan Park to Zhuzihhu).
5. Take Royal Bus (Taipei–Jinshan Line) to Zhuzihhu Police Station.
