In the transition from late autumn to early winter, while admiring the desolate beauty of fiery red maple leaves, the beautiful chrysanthemums in Tongluo Township, Miaoli, have already spread the most gorgeous white carpet across the land, quietly waiting for visitors.

Jiuhu Plateau in Tongluo Township, which sees a “chrysanthemum snowfall” every November, is the area’s most distinctive natural feature. The annual Chrysanthemum Culture Festival has not only become an important local event but also attracts large numbers of visitors from other counties and cities who come to feast their eyes on the flowers during the brief three-week blooming period.
