New Hotel "Kirin in Jiaoxi" Opens for Trial in Yilan: Features the Highest Private Open-Air Bath in Jiaoxi

Another new hotel has opened in Yilan this summer. The long-established Taipei Ximending hotel brand, Kirin Hotel, has launched a brand-new hot spring accommodation — "Kirin Hotel in Jiaoxi." Not only is the hotel conveniently located on Jiaoxi’s main street, but its rooftop also boasts the highest private open-air hot spring bath in Jiaoxi, offering a 180-degree panoramic view of the Lanyang Plain and distant sightlines to Turtle Island. The hotel is now open for trial operations.

The "Kirin Hotel in Jiaoxi" enjoys a convenient location right on Jiaoxi’s main commercial street. It's within walking distance from both the Jiaoxi Bus Terminal and Jiaoxi Railway Station, making it easy to head out and explore the various attractions around Jiaoxi.

The hotel has 18 floors and a total of 167 guest rooms, including three room types: elegant rooms, family rooms, and Japanese-style tatami rooms. Rooms feature a minimalist Japanese design, and each one has its own private bathing space. The sunken hot spring tubs create an authentic onsen ryokan atmosphere. Depending on the number of guests, yukatas are also provided for wearing during the stay.

In addition, the hallway designs vary on each guest room floor, incorporating playful and modern elements that make the corridors more vibrant. Kirin Hotel in Jiaoxi uses 12 different flowers to represent each room type, including chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, tulips, roses, and more. Public relations manager Yang Chengyun explained that this helps guests easily remember their room type and allows them to choose different floral-themed rooms for varied accommodation experiences.
