Must-try Korean street food: Youthful BBQ Cups from Seoul to be showcased at Taiwan’s product exhibition

Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taichung Zhonggang Store will hold its first large-scale “Korean Product Exhibition” from December 1st to December 11th on the 10F Sky Theater. The event will feature live demonstrations of 30 authentic Korean dishes and snacks, including the must-try Korean favorite “Pulmuone” spicy crab stir-fried rice noodles, the rich and hearty “OurHome Authentic Korean Cuisine” pork bone potato ribs soup, the popular Seoul queue-worthy street food – Youthful BBQ Cups, along with 50 varieties of Korean side dishes available for purchase on-site.

Spicy Crab Stir-Fried Rice Noodles (recommended price: NT$250) is a must-try Korean dish beloved by K-culture fans. Made with fresh seasonal flower crabs and springy, specially made noodles, it’s aromatic and packed with a bold kick of spice. Meanwhile, the rich and savory Jajangmyeon (recommended price: NT$180) is another Korean classic not to be missed when traveling in Korea. The “Sonsoo Bansang食堂” pork bone potato ribs soup (recommended price: NT$350) offers a deep and delicious flavor. Additionally, the handpicked fresh meat paired with the perfect sauce makes the “Youthful BBQ Cups” (recommended price: NT$189–199 per set) a super-popular snack among young people in Seoul’s Hongdae and Itaewon areas.

In addition, soy sauce crab from specialty stores is one of the must-try Korean dishes during autumn and winter trips to Korea. This dish features crab roe cooked in a concentrated blend of soy sauce and crab juice essence. When mixed with white rice, it becomes incredibly addictive—you’ll keep asking for more rice, hence earning the nickname “rice thief.” Pork bone potato ribs soup is also a top-requested dish for many visiting Korea. The pot contains not only pork ribs but also potatoes, enoki mushrooms, and Korean sesame leaves.
