Typhoon Pakhar Approaches Hong Kong and Macau – Flight Disruption Summary for Aug 26–27

Typhoon Pakhar is inching closer to Hong Kong and Macau. Though its impact on Taiwan is relatively minor, some flights have still been affected. Below, ETNEWS has compiled a list of affected flights for today and tomorrow. Travelers planning to fly to Hong Kong or Macau in the next two days should stay tuned for updates.

EVA Air

Due to the impact of Typhoon Pakhar, EVA Air has made the following changes to its flights to Hong Kong and Macau on tomorrow (Aug 27):

1. The Taipei Taoyuan–Hong Kong flights BR891, BR869, BR892, and BR870 (round-trip) are canceled.

2. Flights between Taipei and Kaohsiung and Macau before 2:00 PM are canceled; other flights will operate as scheduled.

In addition, due to the impact of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, USA, EVA Air’s Taipei–Houston flight BR52 today (Aug 26) has been postponed to depart at 08:00 on Aug 27.

Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific has announced that, due to Typhoon Pakhar, the following changes will be made to its Taipei–Hong Kong flights on tomorrow (Aug 27):
CX463 Delayed to 09:50
CX465 Delayed to 10:25
CX407 Delayed to 13:05

Due to the impact of Typhoon Pakhar, the following flight changes have been made:
